Tartar is the main cause for bad breath, gingivitis and it can even lead to periodontitis (your teeth get looser and eventually you loose them).
If your health insurance doesn’t cover dental care, then you know that trips to the dentist can be quite expensive. So here’s a way to prevent and remove tartar at home, and also save a small fortune!
Tartar starts to settle at an early age, even when you are nine, from the time the permanent teeth appear and can be met in some cases until the age of 40. Hence the constant care of parents for proper cleaning of the teeth. Tartar arises from a whole process, which can of course be avoided. Bacteria builds up on teeth, appears plaque and tartar then forms.
If you love sweet foods, rich in carbohydrates (white bread, biscuits, dried fruit), or if you smoke, plaque is something you can simply not avoid. Many believe that tartar can be removed only in a dental clinic, but you can try and do it yourself. Here is one easy and effective way to regain your teeth’s beauty and maintain a good oral hygiene.
You’ll need one ounce of walnut shells and 7oz (200 ml) of water. Put the walnut shells in a pot and add water. Boil the mixture for 20 minutes. After it cools, strain, then soak your toothbrush in the resulting liquid. Brush your teeth for 5 minutes. Repeat the treatment 3 times a day (morning, noon and evening).
After 10 days, plaque should disappear!
Tip: After performing the remedy above, rinsing your mouth with apple cider vinegar for one minute will hasten the removal of plaque. After you rinse your mouth with vinegar, be sure to rinse again with water.
